Long-tube headers outflow shorty headers but take more install time; primary tube diameter should match your power goal — 1-3/4" is the street sweet spot for most naturally aspirated and mildly boosted builds, and 1-7/8" is for high-RPM or forced-induction combinations that can use the extra flow. A catted mid-pipe keeps the car emissions-legal where an off-road pipe does not, and headers change what the engine wants from its tune.
